  1. A shoutout to a Bedford company and two Bedford residents named as inventors on recently granted U.S. patents! Roman V. Drachev is an inventor on a patent for a "Method for producing bulk silicon carbide" for the GTAT Corporation in Hudson; Richard B. Elder, Jr., is an inventor on a patent for "ID ambiguity reduction" for BAE Systems in Nashua; and XDI Holdings, LLC has been assigned a patent for "Method, apparatus, and system for enhanced oil and gas recovery with super focused heat."   2. Fewer people in New Hampshire will go hungry, thanks to the the 2022 Turkey Drive by the Bedford Knights of Columbus and Saint Elizabeth Seton Church. Parishioners donated $12,000 this year! Food Bank Executive Director Eileen Groll Liponis said, “The New Hampshire Food Bank is incredibly grateful to the Knights of Columbus Council 12988, St. Elizabeth Seton, Msgr. Quinn, and others for their continued generosity and support.” Over the past 13 years, the Turkey Drive has raised $150,000 for the New Hampshire Food Bank. (Bedford Patch)
  3. Drop off a new, unwrapped Toys For Tots at the Bedford Police Station now through Dec. 15 and make a child's holiday brighter. The U.S. Marines "are hoping to collect 100,000 toys for those in need" in New Hampshire. "The most needed new unwrapped toys are for children aged ten and above." Toys can also be educational toys, crafts or Legos. If you don't have time to buy a toy, cash donations of any amount can be made online.
