Body Removed From The Merrimack River Under Bridge In Manchester
Police, fire, and New Hampshire Marine Patrol worked a scene under the Queen City Bridge Saturday. It is unknown if it is a man or woman.
MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police were dispatched to check the condition of someone under the Queen City Bridge on Saturday.
Later, it was revealed Manchester firefighters were requested to assist police in recovering a deceased person from the Merrimack River under the bridge.
Firefighters launched boats at the boat ramp behind Delta Dental Stadium and police officers traveled south from the boat ramp to an area under the bridge.

The deceased person was placed in the boat and brought to the boat ramp. A New Hampshire Fish and Game officer arrived at the scene a short time later as well as someone from the office of the New Hampshire Medical Examiner's Office.
About an hour later, the body was removed from the scene by a local funeral home.

At this time no information has been released about the person recovered from the water, and it is unknown if it is a male or female.
