Captain Jack Sparrow in Bedford Today?

Here are five things you should know in Bedford today.

1. Final Bedford Farmers' Market of the year. Today marks the last and final day of the season for the Bedford Farmers' Market. The farmers' market will be having its annual Halloween Party, and both kids and adults are invited to dress up. Captain Jack Sparrow will be there in full pirate costume, and candy will be handed out for as long as it lasts. The farmers' market runs from 3 to 6 p.m. at Saint Elizabeth Seton Parish. 2. Lights out. According to the Bedford Town website, box culvert construction is scheduled to occur on Thursday, Oct. 17 on Joppa Hill Road at McQuade Brook, resulting in an electrical service interruption on a portion of the street.  From 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., an electrical outage is scheduled to occur between house numbers 321, 324 and 327.
3. The weatherman says ... This week's weather should be pretty decent, with a chance of rain around mid-week. Here's the full Bedford forecast:

  • Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
  • Thursday night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
  • Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 66.
