Hooksett Woman Injured As Car Crashes Into Tree, Bursts Into Flames On I-293
Update: Good Samaritans provide medical aid to a seriously injured woman in a fiery crash; one southbound lane was closed due to the crash.
MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester firefighters, AMR ambulance, and New Hampshire State Police responded to reports of a rollover crash on Interstate 293 south, with the vehicle on fire, on Sunday just before 11 a.m.
Responders arrived and found the single occupant out of the car being treated by bystanders and the front of the vehicle on fire. The car was heavily damaged from colliding with a tree at Mile Marker 9.2.
Crews worked to extinguish the fire while other crews treated the occupant’s injuries away from the vehicle fire. Additional apparatus arrived to assist with the incident and block the scene from the heavy southbound traffic.

State police identified the driver as Laura Ann Archambault, 43, of Hooksett.
The preliminary investigation revealed the 2010 Subaru left the right side of the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a tree, and spun behind a guardrail, where the vehicle stopped.
