Cat, Burned in Fire, Back Home

The owners of Perry Hill Farm may have lost 14 horses in a barn fire on Sept. 6, but this week, they had a special friend return home.

Gumbo, a 5-year-old feline, returned to the farm after more than six weeks in recovery from burns and other wounds at an Andover, Mass. animal hospital.

According to a story in the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, Gumbo was found when a 1,000-pound farm pig led them to an area of rocks under which the 5-year-old female was burried.
