BEDFORD, NH — A man killed in a Bedford crash on Route 101 last week suffered a medical emergency in the moments leading up to wreck, according to authorities. Stephen Williams, 38, of Wilton, crashed his vehicle Wednesday at about 8:30 a.m. on Route 101 west near Stowell Road. He was transported to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, where he was pronounced dead, according to Bedford Police Chief John Bryfonski.
"Upon arrival, first responders located a vehicle in a ditch with its driver unconscious inside," Bryfonski said in a statement. "The driver ... experienced a medical emergency while driving, which led to the crash."
