Crews removed a garage door for better access and held fire primarily to the garage with some extension into a breezeway. The living space of the structure received some smoke damage, but the fire did not extend into the house.

After the fire was extinguished, Goffstown fire investigators began searching for the cause and origin of the fire. At this time, no information has been released on the cause, but it appears it started inside the front corner of the garage based on evidence that could be seen.
