The infant was located at Pine Island Pond in March and has not been officially identified. Police continue to ask for tips in the case.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police have announced funeral services for Baby “Grace” Doe, who was found deceased at a Queen City pond in March.

The infant was discovered on March 27 in the water at Pine Island Park in Manchester. Though her identity remains unknown, the community has come together to ensure she is laid to rest with respect and compassion.

The service will be held at 4 p.m. at Connor-Healy Funeral Home, 527 Union St. in Manchester. All members of the public are invited to attend and pay their respects.

In her memory, Baby Grace has become a reflection of the compassion and dignity a caring community can offer. She was lovingly named “Grace” to celebrate the kindness extended to her by those who refuse to let her life go unrecognized.

“This baby deserves to be recognized,” Manchester Police Chief Peter Marr said. “The way she was discarded is heartbreaking, and we must give her a proper farewell. No matter the circumstances, every life deserves honor and remembrance.”

Police had previously asked for information and sightings covering two weeks. However, the investigation revealed that the infant was left in the water between March 25 and March 27. Police said the investigation narrowed it down to that time period, but they would not say how that was determined.

Marr said they have received about 50 tips since asking the public for assistance. Some have included photos people took in the area, which helped determine when the ice was no longer in the pond.

Police ask for tips about anyone pregnant in late March, who is no longer pregnant and does not have a newborn baby with them. A reward of $2,500 is being offered for information leading to answers about what happened to the baby.

The Manchester Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death actively. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Manchester Police Department Tip Line at 603-716-7236. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through the Manchester Crimeline at 603-624-4040.

Note on donations: Although no specific fund is set up for Baby "Grace," a suggestion would be to donate to the Granite State Children's Alliance, which helps multiple children annually. Information can be found at https://cac-nh.org/charitable-giving/donate/
