Bedford in the news:

1. Hanaford and Market Basket stores were low on bread due to the manhunt for the mass shooter in Lewiston, Maine. Signs were posted in local stores alerting customers that the bread shortage was due to the Maine lockdown. On its website, the bakery in Lewiston noted they are the second largest producer of packaged bakery foods in the U.S. (Patch)
2. The best hospital in New Hampshire is an hour north of Bedford, according to Newsweek. Can you guess which hospital received the highest rating? Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon earned the top rating in Newsweek’s first-ever ranking of America’s Best In-State Hospitals. Four other New Hampshire area hospitals also made the list: (Patch)
