The Bedford Parks & Recreation Department is always striving to deliver the best programs to the residents of Bedford. We are always looking for new program ideas and people to help run them.

The Bedford Parks & Recreation Department is a member of the New Hampshire Recreation and Park Association.( NHRPA) which is a non-profit professional organization affiliated with the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA), the NH Division of Parks and Recreation, United States Tennis Association (USTA) and New England Parks Association (NEPA). 

2014 Family Snowman Building Challenge -  

The Bedford Parks & Recreation Department wants you to get outside and build!!!  Ring in the New Year and during the month of January spend time with your family building a snowman in your own yard.  Once it is built, take a picture of your creation and e-mail the picture to our office.  There will be a prize awarded to the winning snowman.  This “Family Snowman Challenge” is open to all Bedford families.  

Valentines' Day Card Contest - Design your best “Be MY Valentine” card -  

The Bedford Parks & Recreation Department is offering a February contest to children in grades K-5.  Deadline for entries: Friday, February 7th @ 4 PM.  Mail or drop off your “Be MY Valentine” card entry to the Parks & Recreation Department, Town Offices, 24 N. Amherst Rd, Bedford, NH.

The winner will receive a prize and for that special sweetheart a Valentine’s gift along with the original handmade card.    Make sure you include your name, age and e-mail address on the official entry form and clip it to your card.   The winner will be announced on Monday, February 10th  on our websites and BCTV.  Judges decisions are final.
