- Thanks to new federal funds, Bedford residents will have access to more mental health programs. The state will receive more than $111 million in federal funding for a wide range of projects, thanks to the efforts of Senator Shaheen. Makin’ It Happen, a program that provides mental health services to Bedford and surrounding communities, will receive $250,000 to "increase mental health training" and expand programs that help prevent harm and suicide. - Bedford weather forecast for Christmas weekend: Heavy rain and high wind gusts are expected Friday, with high temperatures of 54 and a low overnight of 14. Weather officials have issued a flood watch and high wind advisory for Friday. Winds will subside Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24 with a high of 23 and an overnight low of 16 degrees. - The Bulldogs ice hockey team "remains unbeaten" after holding off Trinity with a score of 4-3. Trinity "squandered opportunities" to overcome in a 4-3 loss to the Bedford High boys' hockey team Wednesday afternoon at JFK Coliseum. A shoutout to Bedford senior defenseman Maddox Muir (3-0), who got a pair of goals in the game, giving the Bulldogs a 4-2 lead. (Manchester Ink Link)
