The Powerball jackpot is now $425,000,000, and it's getting fatter by the hour ahead of the Aug. 7 drawing. This is now the third-largest Powerball jackpot in history and the fourth-largest overall in history, according to Maura McCann at the New Hampshire Lottery.
The largest Powerball jackpot ever reached was $590.5 million on May 18, she said.
The cash value would be: $244,700,000.
The numbers drawn in Saturday night's drawing (Aug. 3) were:
21 – 24 – 36 – 42 – 45 – 15
Powerball is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. One ticket cost $2.
