Here are the top stories today in Bedford:
- New pets at shelters in our area are looking for loving homes this holiday season: Meet Roxie, a short-haired cat who is recovering from complicated spay surgery. This sweet kitten needs time to regain her strength, so homes with small or active children or other pets aren't ideal for her. She's looking for a supportive home. Meet Roxie and other pets online here: (Bedford Patch)
- If your kid loves the Transformers, Hasbro is partnering with Segway-Ninebot on new Transformer-themed scooters and go-karts. They're based on the popular "Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Decepticon leader, Megatron," characters. A recent release announced that the special limited edition scooters and go-karts are available in China, the U.S. and Canada. Segway was founded by Bedford's Dean Kamen. (PR Newswire)
- Thanksgiving weekend is the perfect time to register your home for the 3rd annual Southern N.H. Tour of Lights. Bedford residents are encouraged to decorate their homes with festive lights and decorations as part of a 13-town holiday collaboration that includes Merrimack and our surrounding communities. After you decorate, "register your address with the Merrimack Parks & Recreation Department no later than Monday, Dec. 5 to be on the official list of homes on the Southern New Hampshire Tour of Lights."
