Today: Learn How to Prepare for an Emergency in Bedford

September is Emergency Preparedness Month and that means there is no better time to learn about and consider joining Bedford's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

Members of the Bedford CERT team will be at two locations – Harvest Market and Walmart – from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, providing information and demonstrations on emergency preparedness.

There will be brochures available as well as information on what should be included in a 24-hour emergency kit.

The goal of Emergency Preparedness Month is to educate citizens on how to be prepared for an emergency or disaster type situation.
