Man Accused Of Assaulting A Man In A Manchester Park With A Knife

MANCHESTER, NH — A Manchester man is facing a felony charge after being accused of slicing another man with a knife in a Queen City park Sunday.

Around 6:30 p.m., police were sent to Amory Street for a report of an assault.

MPD Spokesperson said, "Through their investigation police learned that two men had an argument near Martineau Park. One of the men, identified as Jeffrey Barchus, 59, of Manchester swung a knife at the other, cutting the victim’s hand.

Barchus was arrested and charged with felony second-degree assault. He was released on PR bail and his court date is to be determined.
