Man Arrested Twice for Drugs, DWI During a Two-Crash Day
28-year old allegedly involved in hit and run in the morning and another collision in the early evening.

A 28-year-old New Boston man is facing multiple counts of driving while intoxicated and drug possession after reportedly being involved in two car crashes in one day.
Bedford Police, just after 7 a.m. Thursday morning, responded to a reported hit-and-run accident at the intersection of New Boston Road and Lindahl Road. After arriving on the scene and investigating the crash, officers arrested 28-year-old Brian Burke and charged him with driving while intoxicated and a felony count of possession of a controlled drug and later released him on $1,000 personal recognizance bail.
Late that day, at approximately 5:30 p.m, Bedford Police responded to a complaint of a vehicle driving erratically and eventually striking a vehicle at the intersection of Route 114 and Route 101.

Burke was the operator of the suspected vehicle, which was different than the one involved in the alleged hit and run earlier in the day.
Officers investigated the second accident and Burke was soon charged with an additional count of driving while intoxicated, as well as breach of bail conditions.

In light of the additional charges, Burke was held on $1,500 cash bail and transported to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections in Manchester.
He is scheduled to be arraigned at 8 a.m. Friday at Merrimack District Court.
