Man Dies After Multi-Vehicle Crash On South Commercial Street In Manchester

Witnesses: The driver traveled south on Commercial Street, ran a red light, and crashed into a row of parked cars south of Granite Street.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Fire, police, and AMR responded to a multi-vehicle accident on South Commercial Street, just south of Granite Street, on Wednesday afternoon.

Upon arrival, AMR ambulance personnel requested additional resources for an accident involving five vehicles, and they began CPR on a man who was driving one of the vehicles. CPR was performed on the man at the scene for 20 minutes before he was transported to a local hospital, where he passed away a short time later, according to police.

The vehicle the man was driving was traveling south on Commercial, ran a red light, and crashed into a row of parked cars. The man possibly suffered a medical incident before the crash. There were no occupants in any of the parked cars.

Police closed South Commercial Street as they processed the scene, which involved vehicles parked on the street and in a nearby parking lot.
