Man Shot And Killed Near Manchester Bar On Old Granite Street

MANCHESTER, NH - Manchester Police, fire, and AMR ambulance responded to a report of a shooting on Old Granite Street at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday.

Conflicting reports came in on the exact location, however a victim with gunshot wounds was found in the middle of Old Granite street in front of SOHO restaurant and club,

Life-saving measures were performed but the victim was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

A large area covering a city block was taped off Saturday morning while police processed the scene. The body of a male victim remained at the scene, and detectives were interviewing several people.

No official information has been released on the victim's identity, however, several social media posts identify the victim as a man from Manchester.

Based on witnesses, and video posted to social media several men are seen yelling and arguing when a punch is thrown by the victim, a man immediately can be seen firing several shots from a gun at the victim as he drops to the ground.

A parking lot used by patrons of two clubs in the area was taped off and people were unable to retrieve their cars until police finish processing the scene.

The Medical Examiner and a local funeral home removed the body of the victim mid-morning. The body was transported to Concord to the Medical Examiners' Office for an autopsy.

The NH Attorney General’s Office and Manchester Police announced they are investigating a suspicious death and offered no other details. No identity of the victim or shooter has officially been released at this time.
