Manchester Man Flees In Vehicle, Then On Foot Leaving Dog Behind
David Hamilton, 24, faces felony charges after running over a crowd of people and fleeing the scene on Dubuque Street on Sunday.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Police responded to 495 Dubuque St. on Sunday for a report of a fight.
When an officer arrived, at about 3 a.m., he got out of his cruiser and began approaching a group of about 20 people. As the officer approached, a man got into a car, put the vehicle in reverse, and accelerated toward a group. The vehicle collided with a number of women as well as a parked car.
The driver did not stop, but continued to reverse, and ran the women over. Despite being told to stop multiple times, he left the area. Three victims were transported to Elliot Hospital with serious injuries.

During the investigation, police identified the suspect as David Hamilton, 24, of Manchester. After the incident, Hamilton crashed his car into a house on Wayne Street and took off on foot, leaving a small dog inside the vehicle.
Hamilton was later located and arrested. He faces charges of second-degree assault (three counts), disobeying a police officer, conduct after an accident-felony (three counts), conduct after an accident-misdemeanor (two counts), and cruelty to animals.

Hamilton will be arraigned on Monday in Hillsborough Superior Court-North.
