Manchester Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Accident On Elm Street

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester Fire, police, and AMR ambulance responded to the area of 435 Elm St. Friday for a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

Personnel arrived at about 6:30 p.m. and found a 64-year-old woman who had suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.

Police said a 32-year-old woman was traveling in a southerly direction on Elm Street when she collided with a pedestrian in the roadway. The vehicle's operator was uninjured in the crash and remained at the scene. Authorities are not releasing the identities of the pedestrian and the vehicle operator at this time.

Elm Street was closed for several hours between Auburn and Valley streets.

Manchester Police Lt Greg DiTullio said, “The cause and totality of the crash are still under investigation by the Manchester Police Department Traffic Unit.”
