  1. A shoutout to Lauren Collins Cline of Slightly Crooked Pies, who bakes delicious pies in her 200-year-old Bedford home, and was included in "WMUR Viewer's Choice for Best Pies in New Hampshire." What started as a side hustle has become an unexpected hit. If you're wondering how this humble home pie bakery got its name, Cline said, "My very first pie, Pumpkin, came out lopsided. I was like, how can I make this work, and Slightly Crooked Pies was born." (shark1053.com)
  2. Check out the Moose's Pals weekly column by InDepthNH.org. It features the stories of local shelter animals who are ready for adoption. Among pets currently featured is Suki, a female 6-year-old Akita at the Animal Rescue League of N.H. in Bedford. This "very sweet lady" is looking for her forever home. 3. A storm advisory was issued Wednesday when severe weather moved through New Hampshire and Hillsboro County. Fast-moving storms brought downpours and strong wind gusts in some areas. The National Weather Service advisory Wednesday included the Manchester-Boston regional airport and Bedford. Wednesday night, utility companies worked to restore lost power to thousands across the state who went dark. (Patch)
