Meet Your Officers: Bedford Police To Hold Public Forums
Bedford police will hold public safety forums for residents to get to know officers and discuss various policing topics in town.
BEDFORD, MA —Police have announced several upcoming public information forums that will address policing and various public safety issues in town. The forums will be a chance for residents to get to know their police officers and to learn about their work in the community. The first scheduled session will address internet and phone scams and will take place May 29.
"We want people to know who we are and what we do," said Police Lt. James Graham in a statement. "These sessions are a great tool for police and residents to know one another better while addressing a prevalent public safety topic in Bedford."
During each session, officers will inform residents on a public safety issue, such as domestic abuse or citations. Then, an open forum will take place to discuss residents' questions or concerns. Police Chief Robert Bongiorno encourages residents to attend at least one of the six planned sessions.
