NASHUA, NH — Nashua fire, police, and AMR ambulance responded to a wooded area off Baldwin Street in Nashua last Friday for a deceased person found in the woods.

Nashua police cruisers were parked on Baldwin Street adjacent to a plot of land for sale near the corner of Fairmount Street and near the Veterans Memorial Parkway. The body was removed after a short investigation at the scene.

An autopsy conducted on the man's body found deceased indicates he died of natural causes, according to Lt. Scott Hudon of the Nashua Police Department.

Police didn't issue a press release or post the incident online, Hudon said because the investigation ruled out foul play, plus the fact that the man likely died of natural causes. Detectives also determined there was no threat to the public.

A resident of Fairmount Street who is familiar with the neighborhood said the area police appeared to be concentrating on has been fairly popular among the homeless population, some of whom have set up small encampments in the woods.

On Thursday, a woman’s body was discovered in Bow by some fisherman near a boat ramp. NH Marine Patrol issued a press release stating that it appears to be a drowning. However, they are awaiting autopsy results.

The person in Nashua was not identified by authorities, and the identity of the woman in Bow will be confirmed by the NH Medical Examiner’s Office before being released.

On Friday in Manchester, a deceased man between 20 and 30 years old was found outside a downtown building.
