Here are the top stories today in Bedford:
- A shoutout to Bedford Girl Scouts in grades 8-12 who are planning a trip to Peru! The Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains is offering Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors the South American trip with sister council the girl scouts of Central and Western Massachusetts. Travel plans include visiting places like Machu Picchu and Cuzco from July 11-21, 2023. An information session will be on Nov. 9. - If you have relatives at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home, they may be a lot safer from infections if a $5.2 million federal grant request is approved. The funds would be used for improvements in the ventilation system and other needed upgrades. The nursing home would be the second in New Hampshire to receive "newly available federal money" to control infections. The Governor’s Office for Emergency Relief and Recovery said it will ask the Executive Council to approve the request. (Bedford Patch)
