  1. Peak Foliage arrives in Bedford and the Merrimack Valley from Oct. 20-25! Take a ride along the scenic side roads for a preview before showers move in this weekend. Patchy rain is expected in Bedford Friday and continues on Saturday, clearing later in the day Sunday. Fall foliage will be on full display Monday when the sun returns with partly cloudy skies.   2. No one has claimed a $50K winning Powerball ticket purchased at Market Basket on Garden Lane in Londonderry. If you or someone you know was in Londonderry and may have purchased a lottery ticket on Oct. 19, 2022, time is running out to claim the prize! "Players have a year and a day from the drawing date to claim prizes. Money from unclaimed prizes is returned back as net profit to support schools in New Hampshire," said Charlie McIntyre, the executive director of the New Hampshire Lottery. (Patch)
  3. What's happening at the Bedford Town offices? The Town Office will be closed on Oct. 19 from 1-4 p.m. for required staff training. The Highways Safety Committee meeting scheduled for Oct. 24 at 7:15 a.m. has been canceled, and the Conservation Commission workshop will be held on Oct. 24 from 7-9 p.m., according to the Town of Bedford online calendar.
