Rally for Bedford Little Leaguers Today!
It may be the middle of summer, but we've found plenty of exciting tidbits of information to pass along to you!

1. Little League legends? Make Bedford's 9- and 10-year-old Little League all-stars feel like superstars by attending a rally from 5-7 p.m. today in the Lurgio Middle School cafeteria. The team heads to Cranston, Rhode Island to represent New Hampshire in the Eastern Region Baseball Tournament this week! In addition, the 11- and 12-year-old District 1 state runners-up will be honored, as will the 12-year-old wooden bat champions and the 11-year-old wooden bat runners-up.
2. Speaking of great baseball! Last year's 11- and 12-year-old Little League all-stars are now making waves on the Babe Ruth diamond. Bedford's 13U team earned a second-straight win to advance in the New England Regional tournament at Gill Stadium. They play again today at 5 p.m. with a chance to move within three wins of a regional championship! Bedford Patch will have more on this team later today!
3. Enjoy a few delicious bites for Bedford's mighty gridiron mites! Panera Bread is hosting a fundraiser for the Bedford Jr. Bulldogs on Wednesday, July 31st from 4:00p to 8:00p at the Panera Bread in Colby Court in Bedford.

5. Don't be a victim. Bedford Police, in response to heightened concern from residents regarding five recent home burglaries,have scheduled a public information meeting for this Wednesday, July 31, from 7-9 p.m. at the Bedford Safety Complex. The meeting is aimed at teaching resident how to better safeguard against residential and commercial burglaries. For more information, click here.
6. Touch a truck! As part of the Bedford Public Library's summer reading program, Bedford children have a chance to jump in a Bedford fire truck or construction vehicle or check out the inside of a police cruiser this Tuesday July 30, from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Lemonade and cookies will also be served. 7. Catch an outdoor summer flick with the family! Charmingfare Farm is hosting Outdoor Movie Nights on six Wednesday evenings during the months of July and August. This is not just a movie, several rides and attractions are also included in the cost of your ticket. Your $17.00 ticket gets you access to our Zoo, the Petting Area, our Horse-Drawn Wagon Ride, our Pony Rides, our Tractor Train Ride, and hang out with our costumed characters. Grilled hotdogs, popcorn, candy and beverages will be made available for purchase. We encourage you to bring chairs and blankets to sit on during the movie. 8. Senior snap shot. Those Bedford High School school students entering the 12th grade who haven't had their senior pictures taken by one of Bedford's fantastic local photographers, such asDebbie Ellis or Madonna Lovett Repeta, BHS is offering on-site senior pictures this Wednesday, July 31, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Bedford High School Theater.
