State Troopers, Manchester Cops At Sununu Center After Riot Reported

NHSP requested all available troopers to respond to the facility on River Road in Manchester. An AMR ambulance is staged in the area.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police and New Hampshire State Police troopers are on scene at the Sununu Youth Services Center at 1066 River Road for a report of a riot.

Just after 8 p.m., a radio broadcast from state police asked that “all available units respond to the Sununu Center in Manchester for a riot.” Manchester police dispatch log confirmed officers responded to the facility for a riot at 8:06 p.m.

A steady stream of cruisers responded through Manchester. About 14 cruisers can be seen parked outside of the main entrance of the building. An AMR ambulance was dispatched to stage in the area and await instructions from law enforcement.

A state police broadcast advised responding units that the staff had possibly secured themselves in a room and that they did not believe the residents had weapons.

As of 9 p.m., law enforcement that originally responded remains at the scene.
