Roadwork Roundup: Paving Scheduled for Several Streets

Here's which areas to avoid in the next couple weeks.

If you're a regular at commuter or simply enjoy leisurely drives around town, be aware, the next couple weeks will see several local roads impacted by paving and construction.

Beginning next week and running through early November, portions of Oriole Drive, Cardinal Lane and Hawk Drive will be paved. Prior to paving, cold planning of driveway apron match points will occur if needed.

In addition, Donald Street, from the new roundabout to Old Bedford Road will also be paved the week of Oct. 29. That same week, Continental Paving, Inc. is scheduled to reclaim and place the binder course of asphalt on Blackbird Drive and Canary Lane.

Last week, Jenkins Road, near the Merrimack town line, reopened after two months of construction, though asphalt still needs to be laid and will be completed at a later date, according to a release from the Bedford Police Department.

In addition, Patten Road, closed for nearly a month, is now reopen, but Meetinghouse Road is still detouring using Mayflower to Gault Road.
