Fatal Shooting Reported Near Mall Of New Hampshire In Manchester
Update: Manchester police, NH State Police troopers are investigating the shooting of a truck driver; a suspect has been ID'd.
MANCHESTER, NH — Police in Manchester are investigating a shooting on South Willow Street near the entrance of Mall of New Hampshire on Saturday.
According to sources, the driver of a tractor-trailer truck cab was shot just before 3:30 p.m. According to one witness, the shooting appeared to be a road rage incident.
The witness said an SUV was stopping and starting while in traffic on South Willow Street in front of the truck driver. At the light just before the mall entrance, the truck driver got out of the vehicle to speak to the other driver and, during the process of doing so, was shot. The victim was not transported from the scene. Responders worked to block the view of bystanders and eventually erected a tent over the victim.

The shooting suspect reportedly was followed after fleeing the area of South Willow Street and was last seen in the area toward Brown Avenue, possibly heading toward the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in Londonderry, according to a BOLO (be-on-the-lookout) call shared by area police departments. Police reported the suspect left the area in a blue 2015 Honda CR-V.
Witnesses said there were possibly children in the sleeper cab of the truck. People identified as family members were on the scene shortly after the shooting and, with the assistance of police, were escorted away from the scene.

The vehicle police issued the BOLO for is listed as a person out of Manchester who has connections to both the east and west sides of the city.
The truck had New Hampshire plates on it. According to DOT numbers on the side of the truck, it is listed as a Manchester address.
Reports said a possible suspect had been identified. Police have checked several areas in Manchester where the possible suspect may have connections.
South Willow Street was closed for several hours. Parts of it opened around 6 p.m. Traffic also was initially blocked from exiting the Interstate 293 offramps. Those have since been cleared.
The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office confirmed at 4:30 p.m. investigators were looking into a suspicious death on South Willow Street in Manchester.
