Snow, Snow Days, Piling up in Bedford
Graduation date set, regardless of any future snow days.
The 2011-'12 school year began on a sour note with the Bedford School District compiling four missed days of prior to the second week of November.

This year, Hurricane Sandy once again set the tone for a plethora of missed school days, forcing two days of closures in late October.
Though the 2012-'13 winter has seen much more snow accumulate alongside Bedford roads, many of the winter storms have hit on weekends meaning, of course, no missed school. In fact, today is just the third day of classes to be canceled due to snow.

With five total days now missed, Bedford Superintendent Timothy Mayes said the tentative last day of school is now Thursday, June 20.
The date for Bedford High School's graduation, however, is set. The Bedford School Board recently approved Saturday, June 15 at 10 a.m. for the BHS commencement ceremony, regardless of any addition snow days, said Mayes.
