Suspicious Candy Given to Bedford Trick or Treater
"Hershey Kiss" shaped candy reportedly contained pill.

Bedford Police, last night, received a complaint about suspicious candy that had been provided to a child during trick or treat.
The child's parents reported to police that their child had been trick or treating earlier in the evening in the Technology Drive neighborhood before returning home.
The candy, which was similar in appearance to a Hershey’s Kiss, was opened by the child and it was a pill was found inside. The child did not consume the pill and immediately notified parents.
At this time, Bedford Police are reminding all residents to continue to use good Halloween safety practices by always checking all candy before allowing children to consume it.

If anyone else finds candy that appears to have been tampered with in any way they are encouraged to notify the Bedford Police Department immediately.
This incident is currently under investigation by the Bedford Police Department, and anyone with information regarding the incident are asked to contacted the Bedford Police Department at 472-5113.
