Truck Crash In Goffstown On Route 114 Seriously Injures One Person

Goffstown, Bedford firefighters worked to extinguish a truck fire after it crashed; it was lifted from the woods by a local tow company.

GOFFSTOWN, NH — Goffstown Police and Fire responded to a report of a vehicle into the woods on Route 114, just north of Shirley Hill Road on Tuesday.

While en route, responders were advised the accident involved a truck that appeared to be on fire and people were possibly trapped in the vehicle.

On arrival, Goffstown Police found a pick-up truck in the woods and found the vehicle was on fire. Two truck occupants were removed and received EMS services while firefighters from Goffstown and Bedford extinguished the fire.

A trauma activation at a local hospital was initiated based on what appeared to be serious injuries to the man. The truck driver had several cuts and was bleeding but refused to be transported from the scene by ambulance.

Initial investigation shows the truck was traveling north on Route 114 and for unknown reasons crossed into the southbound lane and left the roadway. The truck continued into the woods until it was stopped by several trees it struck.

Duval’s Towing used a rotator-style tow truck to remove the truck, place it on a flatbed, and remove it from the scene.

Goffstown Police are investigating the crash and no additional information was available at this time on the specific injuries.
