Sandy Cancels School, Closes 2 Bedford Roads

Number of customers without power continues to rise too.

While 2702 Bedford PSNH customers - 29 percent - are without power as of 8:30 p.m., Bedford Police have now advised that two roads have been impacted as the Sandy rages through the area.

Gage Girls Road is now closed due to downed trees and power lines between Route 101 and Beals Road.

And Meetinghouse Road is now down to one lane near the Manchester Country Club.

Several residents have also confirmed through our Bedford Patch Facebook page that the Bedford School District has cancelled Tuesday classes.
