- Someone answered an ad from Craigslist for a free pop-up camper in Bedford, and then stole another camper. The Craigslist thieves arrived between Oct. 12-15 to to pick up a "free 1993 Coleman Chesapeake pop up camper" from Bedford, then stole "a white 2004 Coach Classic pop up camper" from the property. Bedford Police are asking for the public's help with information about the stolen camper. If you have any information that can help, contact Officer Proulx of the Bedford Police department or text an anonymous tip. (Bedford Police via Facebook)
- A shoutout to Bedford girls soccer for a 1-0 win in the Division I semifinal finals against Portsmouth! Bedford High School girls soccer coach Michelle Winning said "many people" thought the semifinal game Monday at Stellos Stadium against Portsmouth "would need extra time," but thanks to a "shutout performance" by Lana Morris, the Bulldogs won over the Clippers, without extra time. The Bulldogs will play Exeter in Division I final. (Yahoo)
- In patent and technology news, several new patents filed in New Hampshire included Bedford inventors. A patent was filed for"Dynamic Autopilot" by BAE Systems in Nashua, developed by a team of inventors including Jeremy B. Gibson of Bedford. Deka Products Limited Partnership filed two patents with Bedford inventors. A team including Dean Kamen filed a patent for “Pump cassette and methods for use in medical treatment system using a plurality of fluid lines." Another Deka patent, "Infusion Pump Assembly," included inventors Dean Kamen and Thomas F. Soldau, also from Bedford. (Concord Monitor)
