  1. Veterans at Liberty House will have minivans to get around in, thanks to Progressive Insurance and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. The insurance company and car rental agency donated the vans to Liberty House, "a safe and sober home for homeless veterans" run by Catholic Charities New Hampshire. Scott Harlow, claims adjustment head of Progressive’s Bedford office, said, "The program seeks to honor veterans of our Armed Forces by giving them vehicles to move their lives forward.” (Manchester Ink Link)
  2. A shoutout to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, the first shelter in the state to partner with "Hero Pups and Chris' Hero Pets." The nonprofits pay adoption fees to help veterans adopt a forever pet. If you are a veteran or know of a veteran who wants to adopt a pet through this program, visit the ARLNH website. (Animal Rescue League of NH via Facebook)
  3. Teens, parents, guardians: Learn new holiday cookie decorating from a professional cake decorator! All are invited to "learn insider tips" from custom cake designer Kristen Chadbourne. Each attendee can try new techniques to decorate six different cookies for the holidays with fun themes, like "snowflakes, trees, snow globes, hot cocoa mugs and more!" "The program is limited to teen attendees with a Bedford Public Library card and a parent/guardian/favorite adult." Sign up here: (Bedford (NH) Public Library via Facebook)
