Homeless Woman Indicted On Murder Charges, Accused Of Killing Of Elderly Manchester Man
Stephanie Beard, 34, was indicted by a Hillsborough County Grand Jury, accused of stabbing John Glennon, 71, to death. She is being held.
MANCHESTER, NH — The woman accused of stabbing an elderly man to death in his apartment, and stealing his car has been indicted by the Hillsborough County Grand Jury for one count of second-degree murder.
Stephanie Beard, 34, was accused of killing 71-year-old John Glennon by causing sharp force injuries with a knife.
Beard was indicted on second-degree murder for knowingly causing the death and an alternative count of second-degree murder for recklessly causing his death under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of human life by causing sharp force injuries with a knife.

Fire and EMS in May responded to the Franklin Street apartment building for a man found unresponsive in his apartment and quickly determined he was deceased.
Police began an investigation and, utilizing video surveillance and other evidence, issued a warrant for Beard. She was later arrested in Boston, Massachusetts, as a fugitive from justice and then returned to New Hampshire to face murder charges.

Beard was also indicted on one count of theft by unauthorized taking for obtaining or exercising unauthorized control over Glennon’s car.
Beard remains held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections without bail.
