- The Town of Bedford announced ongoing road work at the intersection of County Road and Back River Road. The construction work was planned for Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 7:00 am to 5 p.m. but may be re-scheduled for today, Nov. 17, due to weather conditions. The road shoulder will be widened and a traffic control island will be installed. (Bedford Patch)

- When 29-year-old Travis Janvrin suffered a stroke that put him in a wheelchair, he discovered how hard it is to find accessible housing. Janvrin ran three different T-Mobile stores, including the store in Bedford, but following his hospitalization for his stroke, he had to leave his third-floor rental apartment, was told to call the fire department to help him get in and out of his high-floor apartment, applied for housing vouchers, and stayed at hotels (including the Hampton Inn in Bedford) until he finally found a first-floor, wheelchair-accessible apartment. - Granite State Ringers will ring in the holiday season with their handbells on Nov. 27 at LaBelle Winery in Amherst. It's one of many events planned at our favorite nearby winery.
