City Councilor, Ward 9

Family

Married with two young sons. My wife and I are raising our boys here on the Concord Heights. Like many families, we want safe streets, good schools, and a city that listens and uses common sense.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

No. We’re a regular local family that believes in showing up, helping neighbors, and getting things done — not just talking about them.

Education and-or work experience

Born and raised in Concord. I hold a bachelor’s degree and work in construction and equipment management, coordinating with builders, inspectors, and public works teams. It’s hands-on work that taught me how planning, safety, and budgets fit together — and how to finish what we start. I’m also an active member of my church and its ministries, because I believe strong neighborhoods are built when we take care of each other.

Previous or current elected or appointed positions

I haven’t held elected office, but I’ve served on local boards, volunteered through Kiwanis, and helped organize youth and neighborhood programs. I’ve supported community efforts focused on safety, housing, and family-friendly neighborhoods throughout Concord.

Campaign website

I don’t have a campaign website. I’d rather meet people face-to-face, at community meetings or on their doorstep. Good ideas matter, but good follow-through matters more— my phone and inbox are open, and I return calls.

The single most important pressing issue facing the community is _______ and this is what I intend to do about it

Every person deserves to live in a city that feels safe — that includes families, businesses, and even those who are struggling to get back on their feet. But safety starts with accountability. I’ll push for consistent enforcement of existing laws, better coordination between outreach groups and city staff, and regular public updates so residents know what’s being done. I’ll also stand behind our police and fire departments — they deserve modern facilities and support to keep everyone safe. My goal is simple: a safe, clean Ward 9 where compassion and accountability work together.

List three other things you would like to work on if elected or re-elected

Keeping Taxes Fair and Family-Friendly: A city should run its budget like a family does — know what’s coming in, what’s going out, and spend on needs before wants. Families don’t stop feeding their kids when money’s tight — they just spend wisely. The city should do the same. My focus will stay on roads, safety, schools, and paying down debt before extras.

Housing That Works for Real People: People who work hard shouldn’t struggle to live here. That’s not politics — it’s fairness. I’ll cut red tape for responsible builders and support smaller, attainable homes for families, young workers, and seniors.

Fixing Infrastructure That Matters: Loudon Road and Heights side streets need to come first. Better lighting, safe crossings, and coordinated repairs so we fix things right the first time — not keep paying to patch the same spots twice.

Name a couple of accomplishments in the past that show you can handle this position

In my work, I manage projects where safety, cost, and timelines must align — the same balance the city needs. I’ve spent years making sure jobs actually get done, not just talked about.
Here at home, I’ve organized youth events, church ministry projects, and neighborhood cleanups that have made a difference. I’ve been meeting with our local fire and police departments and attending community meetings, including recent school-building discussions, because knowing what’s happening on the ground is the only way to make informed decisions.
When something needs doing, I show up and get it done.

Share any other thoughts or ideas you would like voters to know about yourself

I was born here, I work here, and I’m raising my family here. I love this city and believe most of us want the same things — safe neighborhoods, fair taxes, and a local government that listens and follows through. I don’t make headlines — I make plans. Real plans, not pretty ideas. You’ll see me in the community talking with you, not hiding behind a website. Every voice in our ward matters, and I’ll work for all of us so Concord stays a place we’re proud to call home.
