Concord Mom Is The 'Go-To' For So Many, 'Most Selfless Person'

CONCORD, NH— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Amanda Snow, who nominated Nancy Snow of Concord.

What makes your Mom extra special?

She is the most selfless person I know. Raised two biological children and helped to raise one niece as her own. Always thinking about others before herself and will do anything for anyone at any hour of the day. I watched her work 40-plus hours a day and then go and spend hours sitting and caring for my dying uncle, caring for her late great-grandmother as she was battling dementia, and helping to care for so many others in our family when they couldn't do it themselves. She is the type of person who people call at 3 a.m. before they call 911 (you know who you are). She works hard to serve the people of NH working for the state, cares for everyone around her, and still is able to be here for her children, husband, and friends. She amazes me everyday and I am proud to call her my mother.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

She never ever gets the recognition she deserves. A card, flowers or a garden gnome simply aren't enough. She needs to be recognized for the amazing mother she is. Everyone should have a mother like her.
