Concord Mom Stays Strong For Family After Son's Death

CONCORD, NH — Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

What makes my mom extra special is that she never gives up, she's strong, she's loving, and most of all, she's my mom. She tries her hardest to help all of her kids in any way she can. She's understanding with almost everything. And she loves her kids unconditionally, even if she can't show it sometimes :)

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

I feel my mom deserves the spotlight because she's a strong, independent woman who works extremely hard to keep a roof over all of her kids' heads. Our family has been through so much this past year with the passing of my brother, her eldest child, late December 2021 he passed. She's adopted my cousin, and our financial state has definitely been better. But despite all of that, she's stayed strong, she's stayed determined to keep all three of her now children as happy as can be. she's always tried to give her children what they want, even if it doesn't turn out as expected.
Heather Demello is an amazing mother and I couldn't ask for a better mother. Happy Mother's Day!
