Concord Mom 'Is Who I Look Up To Most,' Daughter Says

CONCORD, NH— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is special because ever since I was born she has always been a source of support and strength, and [she] has helped me through my worst and my best. She is also so special because the care and the love that she shows in our family. She always puts our happiness and well being above hers and sacrifices her own needs to give my family the best life possible. She also provides a safe and stable environment for us to grow. Another reason is because of her creativity — she is able to come up with solutions for any problems we may face and teaches me different strategies to help those around me and myself. My mom has a great sense of humor even though sometimes it annoys me and makes me upset, I know she is just trying to make me laugh. She does bring joy to my family to lighten my life in many different ways. My mom is so, so supportive and kind — I really don't know what I'd do without her.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom deserves the spotlight because she is the best mom in the whole world. She gives me the confidence to get through my normal teenage life, she shows me unwavering love and support, she is who I look up to most, and she makes me believe I can do anything I put my mind to. I love her more than anything though sometimes I may not show it, I'm so thankful for her.
