Connecticut Woman Dies In Swimming Accident In Meridith, NH

A 22-year-old from Trumbell, CT is the latest victim of water-related incidents in New Hampshire

MERIDITH, NH - On August 5, 2020, the New Hampshire State Police-Marine Patrol notified of an unresponsive swimmer on Lake Waukewan in the Town of Meredith.

Officers arrived on scene to learn that Amanda L. Daigle, age 22, of Trumbull, CT was found unconscious a short distance from shore while swimming with acquaintances. She was brought to shore where CPR was performed until first responders arrived.

Daigle was transported by Stewart’s Ambulance Service to Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, NH. She was later transported by helicopter to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where she died.
