E-Bike Rider, On Interstate 93 South, Struck By An SUV, Taken To Concord Hospital: Video

A trauma alert was issued at the hospital after a man on an e-bike was struck by the driver of a Hyundai Tucson on the Exit 14 offramp.

CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams and New Hampshire State Police were sent to a crash on Interstate 93 south involving the driver of an SUV and a rider on an e-bike on Monday night.

Around 9 p.m., Capital Region Fire Dispatch began receiving calls about the crash. One reported a man, who was riding the e-bike, was down on the ground and not moving. The first-arriving firefighters confirmed the man was down. State troopers shut down the ramp when they arrived and EMTs began packaging him up for transport while other firefighters cleared.

A few minutes later, an EMT requested dispatch contact Concord Hospital and activate a trauma alert code for the patient. Just before 9:15 p.m., the man was taken to the hospital.

The vehicle involved in the crash was a Hyundai Tucson.

A trooper also went to Concord Hospital for a follow-up with the victim around 9:30 p.m.
