A cast of 100 -- 89 dancers, 7 choreographers, and 4 dance school directors -- take the stage to present Concord's biggest dance party. Concord Dance Academy's Cindy Flanagan, Gen's Dance Studio's Gen Woodward, New Hampshire School of Ballet's Jennifer Rienert, and Lisa Drouin Goff's Turning Pointe Center of Dance proudly introduce their top performers in a family-friendly show that rocks the Audi.
The Rhythm of the Night is a win-win-win event. Sponsored by the MollyB Foundation, it celebrates the memory of Molly Banzoff, a beautiful young member of Concord's dance community who loved performing here and making people happy. January starts the busy dance competition season, and Rhythm of the Night offers stage experience before an audience to our local competition dance teams, helping polish their routines set for regional and national dance showcases. Many return to Concord with trophies and awards on their resumes and scholarship for further study. A super 50-50 RON Raffle, hosted by the Concord Coachmen Barbershop Chorus gentlemen, benefits The Friends of the Audi's continuing projects to maintain and upgrade the municipal theatre.
The Friends of the Audi present The Rhythm of the Night with crew of 30 volunteers led by Producer David Murdo and Director Lisa Drouin Goff. The Audi's volunteers include tech and backstage support, ushers and grips, and the "famous cookie bakers" led by Joanie McIntire, who turn a performance into a party. Online support is provided by the Sulloway & Hollis law firm.
Tickets for the evening are $12 at Gibson's Bookstore on S. Main Street and the Door. For further information, visit www.theaudi.org or call 603-344-4747.
