Nearly $500K Raised for Bauman
Concord, New England, and the nation help Boston Marathon bombing victim.

As of Sunday morning, fundraising efforts for Boston Marathon bombing victim Jeff Bauman have reached nearly half a million dollars online alone.
The "Bucks for Bauman" page on gofundme.com had raised more than $450,000, while the "Benefit for Bauman" page on YouCaring.com organized by Bauman's aunt, Jennifer Maybury, had raised more than $22,000 at last check, with both numbers continuing to rise.
Last week, Nadeau's Subs on South Main Street began donating 15 percent of food orders to the cause and extended the donation effort through Sunday, April 21. .

A fundraising site for all the victims was set up by Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Tom Menino, with overall healthcare costs estimated to be at around $9 million, according to the Huffington Post.
The Boston Globe also reports that Bauman already had health insurance as an employee of Costco in Nashua, and Costco will be matching donations made by his co-workers.

More information can be found on the Facebook page created to support Bauman. Yesterday, he posted that he was "chillen with friends."
