Concord Mom Rises To Challenge To Become Daughter's Greatest Advocate

CONCORD, NH — Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom Kate has risen to the challenge to care for me when she found out I was diagnosed with Achondroplasia (dwarfism). She left her job and takes care of me full-time and also is completing her Master's degree at night.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom has been brave through all of my medical procedures. She has researched and learned about my needs. She has become an advocate for me and Dwarfism! Plus, she spends all day singing and playing with me on demand!
