One Dead, One Injured In Water Related Incident In Gilford
CPR was performed on two adult males, one male could not be revived and the other was transported to Concord Hospital

GILFORD, NH - At approximately 2:15 pm, Marine Patrol personnel assigned to their headquarters in Gilford were alerted to a nearby water emergency by screams for help. Marine Patrol personnel quickly responded to the Gilford Town Docks where two adult males who had fallen into the lake between the town dock and their drifting boat. Both were clinging to the dock and struggling to remain on the surface.
Marine Patrol uniformed and civilian personnel along with several good Samaritans removed both individuals from the water. Moments later, both persons became unresponsive and CPR was performed until EMS from the Gilford Fire Department arrived.
Both men were treated at the scene and transported to Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia. One of them died at the hospital, while the second was transferred to Concord Hospital for further treatment.

Marine Patrol was assisted at the scene by Gilford Fire and Police Departments, along with several members of the public.
