Star Student Athlete: Max Of Concord Shows Sportsmanship, Leadership

CONCORD, NH — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

I have watched him come up through sports since he was 8 years old

What sport does the star student athlete play?

Soccer, basketball and Lacrosse

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Max received the NH IAABO male athlete of the year in 2022. This award is given out to the man or woman who excels and shows great sportsmanship and leadership. Max is also an honor student. What makes Max stand is he is always helping up both his team and his opponent's players. Max excels in competition in all three sports. Max tore his ACL this fall and even though he was not able to be the starting goalie for Concord High School this year he has become the number cheerleader for the soccer team and has become a mentor to the goalie for the soccer team

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

Max is the true epitome of a classy and competitive player. Keep up the great work, Max Leahy!
