Brockton Teen Faces Theft Count In 2024 Exeter Dodge Durango Stolen SUVs Investigation

EXETER, NH — Another arrest has been made in the May 2024 stolen SUVs case involving Dodge Durangos at Foss Motors in Exeter.

Nelshon Luis Pires, 19, of Brockton, Massachusetts, was arrested on Tuesday morning on a felony theft count warrant by Brockton police. Exeter police issued the warrant after spending months investigating the theft of two of the cars — a white 2024 Dodge Durango SRT 392 and a gray 2021 Dodge Durango SRT, from the dealership, which is located on Portsmouth Avenue, on May 31, 2024.

The SUVs were valued at around $100,000.

Exeter Police Chief Stephan Poulin thanked the department’s criminal investigative division, “and specifically Det. John Suglia, for their “effort and hard work” on an intricate and involved case.

“His ability to parse out evidence and to work closely with outside agencies such as our state and federal partners has been critical to success,” Poulin said. “We also recognize and appreciate all of the efforts of the Brockton Police Department with this recent arrest.”

Pires is being held pending extradition as a fugitive from justice. Poulin said the case remained under investigation.

This is the second arrest connected to two different vehicle theft cases at the dealership.

In September 2024, Alberto Marbert, 33, last known address of Tewksbury, MA, was charged with one felony count of accomplice to theft by unauthorized taking for his alleged role in the thefts of a white 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and a red 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat from the dealership in February 2024. The vehicles were found later in Boston, MA.
