Florida Man Indicted on Child Porn Charges in Exeter

A Florida man is facing sexual assault and child porn charges after being indicted a Rockingham County grand jury​ this week.

EXETER, NH - A Florida man is facing sexual assault and child porn charges after being indicted a Rockingham County grand jury this week. According to Seacoast Online, Jonathan Erb, 33, of 200 Bay St., New Smyrna Beach was indicted on one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault and three counts of manufacturing child pornography.

According to a Volusia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Erb was arrested at a McDonald's after the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

He was charged with 15 counts of alleged possession of child pornography and admitted to authorities, one of the images was taken in Exeter, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

According to the arrest report, Erb, “Ultimately, confessed (he) took the photograph that was shown to (him) depicting an adult male” molesting the 3-year-old. He also told police he took the photograph in July 2017 while living in Exeter. He also admitted his current cellphone had 100 to 200 images and videos depicting child pornography, deputies said.

Erb is charged with three felony charges of manufacturing child abuse images in New Hampshire, alleging he took three photos of a female child depicting her exposed genital areas; one instance on July 6, 2017, and the other three on July 13, 2017, with both events alleging to have taken place in Exeter. He also faces a charge of aggravated felonious sexual assault, alleging he engaged in genital contact with the 3-year-old girl July 13, 2017.

Erb is currentluy being held by Volusia County on a $78,000 bail and is scheduled for a hearing on May 8 in Volusia County Circuit Court.
